We're pleased to introduce the newest addition to the Pavilion team ... Dawn Knowles.

Dawn is serving as one of our event coordinators ... joining Mary Jackson, and Alicia O’Brien.

Dawn Knowles is well-known in Ventura County as a realtor (for 29 years here), is the current president of the Rotary Club of Ventura East, participates in a litany of volunteer efforts, and for her favorite pastime ... as a volunteer and board member of the Animal Services Foundation of Ventura County.

Her life story reads like a story book filled with a wealth of various experiences and interests.

Where does one begin in sharing her life story? Obviously she, like most successful people, goes non-stop and has been able to create a harmonious balance between her personal and professional life, and her passions.

Perhaps most importantly to her, outside of her children, she is an animal lover having grown up in a family of animal lovers. At a young age, her family had many pets and she enjoyed caring for them. Then, in the early 2000s, she owned a horse boarding and cattle ranch in Central California. She relished arranging field trips for local school children to come to her ranch to learn about and how to care for the animals.

Currently, Dawn and her partner Rick have been doing "Pet of the Week" Videos at the Ventura County animal services for over 6 years.

As a mom, she has raised 3 children with a grandchild on the way.

When she isn't working in her real estate business, and her volunteer work with animals, she enjoys the theater, musicals and traveling (her favorite destinations are Italy and Croatia).

With everything else on her plate, why would she want to spend time at the Pavilion? Her reply. "I have known and worked with Margarida Eidson, the Pavilion business manager, for 4 years. I wanted to do something different, keep busy and have fun. The events re-energize me."

Dawn certainly has a plethora of interests, experience and qualifications. She attended Palo Alto High School, then graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

A doer at heart ... she came from a family of real estate investors, which is why she followed the real estate path.

We're thrilled to have Dawn's time and energy helping us at the Pavilion.
